Ro-V 95 steady rail transition press

Transition rail presses are used on construction sites for railways or tramways to produce the transitions between rails of different heights. For example at transitions from UIC 60 zu S 49 oder R 65 zu S54. The geometry of the transition is prescribed by the respective railway or tram administration and is realized by us in a special die tool.

Technology

- Heating of the rail web to forming temperature ( approx. 800 C) using a burner.
- the heating time is approx. 1 - 2 min
- Introduction of the heated rail end into the working area of the Ro - V 95 rail crossing press by means of a roller conveyor
- Bringing the forging die together to the pre-set height dimension

Heating device

- Holding time: approx. 1 min
- Working gas: Acetylene
- Extinguishing the burners with nitrogen when the forming temperature is reached
- The operating variables are regulated by a FLAMATIC control system.
